Dave Ostrick Birmingham, Al - Apr 23, 2007 I am a refugee from Katrina -now living in Birmingham - permanently I guess.
I used to play bridge with Doris - for a period of time we had a regular weekly date. We were not the greatest players but we won our share.
Doris was always pleasant - a kind person with
interest in many things. She will be missed by
many people. Belinda Perth, Western Australia - Dec 21, 2006 My best friend`s nan did egg artistry with ostrich eggs but sadly she passed away a few years ago. My friend is now getting into egg artistry in memory of her Nan and I am too.
I went looking around online looking for inspiration and ideas, Doris Kerbal`s eggs are by far the best I`ve seen, what a great artist! She obviously loved doing what she did and did it so well! Daisy Covington, La - Dec 16, 2006 Doris` eggs have always amazed me. I was so happy to happen upon this collection of her art unexpectedly. One more beautiful than the next (the ones with turquoise are my favorites), they reminded me of Doris herself, a beautiful person. Tim Belle Chasse - Jun 18, 2005 The egg artwork is a display of fantastic talent, patience, and love. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I grew up with the intricate egg artwork as done by the local Ukranian and Slovak cultures. I have also seen the Faberge display at the New Orleans Museum of Art almost 30 years ago and the art of Doris Kerbel surely rivals these. Barbara Slidell - Jun 04, 2005 I am not exactly a guest. I am Doris Kerbel`s daughter. My mother was a very talented individual. She was also the kindest woman I`ve ever known. She is missed by so many people. She left a valuable mark in this world to those who knew her. Thank you for viewing some of her artwork. |
